A balanced curriculum gives equal status and resources to arts, humanities, language, mathematics, physical education, science and other disciplines. The curriculum of our school is broad and balanced. It aims to provide a structured programme for all children while at the same time catering for the individual needs of each child.
All of the disciplines have an equal place at all stages of education, from prekindergarten through to the end of high school and beyond. They should be provided for in ways that take account of children’s ages and levels of development. In terms of personalization, it’s also essential that as they grow, students should be able to focus more on some disciplines than others as their interest start to become more focused. That’s what choice and diversity mean.
In order to meet the purposes outlined in learning culture and implied competencies, our curriculum as a whole has these characteristics:
To cover the sorts of understanding that we want for all students to provide proper opportunities for them as individuals to discover their personal strengths and interests.
To provide appropriate choices so that as they develop, students can pursue their own interests in proper depth.
To allow for collaboration and interaction between students of different ages and teachers with different specialties. It should build bridges with the wider community, and it should evolve and develop in process.
Wisdom Valley Global School adopt and adapt an educational program which is largely based on the policies and procedures laid by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and national curriculum framework (NCF). The NCF proposes five guiding principles for curriculum development:
- connecting knowledge to life outside the school;
- ensuring that learning shifts away from rote methods;
- enriching the curriculum so that it goes beyond textbooks;
- making examinations more flexible and integrating them with classroom life; and
- nurturing an overriding identity informed by caring concerns within the democratic polity of the country.
Our school practice a skill based curriculum and is content driven as well. The curricular areas are as follows:
Reading and writing, listening and speech, contribute to the child’s progress in all curricular areas which is the basis for curriculum planning. We emphasize reading throughout the primary classes to give every child a solid foundation for school learning.
Access to quality mathematics education is the right of every child. The teaching of mathematics enhances children’s ability to think and reason, to visualize and handle abstractions, to formulate and solve problems.
To engage the learners in acquiring methods and processes that nurture their curiosity and creativity, particularly in relation to the environment. To equip them with the requisite knowledge and skills to enter the world of work.
To equip children with the ability to think independently and reflect critically on social issues, to develop interdisciplinary approach, promoting key national concerns such as gender, justice, human rights, and sensitivity to marginalized groups and minorities.
It covers all four major spheres, i.e. music, dance, visual arts and theatre. We emphasize interactive approaches because the goal of art education is to promote aesthetic and personal awareness and the ability to express oneself in different forms.
Peace has immense relevance today in view of the growing tendency across the world towards intolerance and violence as a way of resolving conflicts. We promote peace-oriented values in all subjects throughout the school years with the help of relevant activities.

Environmental education is pursued by infusing the issues and concerns of the environment into the teaching of different disciplines at all levels while ensuring that adequate time is earmarked for pertinent activities.
The examination and evaluation processes are extremely dynamic to keep pace with the changing trends of research in education. We at Wisdom Valley Global School work continuously on innovations in teaching-learning methodologies by devising student friendly and student centered systems.
Activity day are kept on Saturdays to develop a wide variety of skills in the students. These days are dedicated to Co-curricular activities, clubs, remedial classes, inter-house competitions, industry visits, excursions, workshops, seminars and other beyond academic activities, which help our students to engage into experiential learning.
